ID: 052 An LP-Style Upgrade for 3 pickup instruments
This is a special LP-Style upgrade that uses our T3-Switch, part of our growing family of of High Performance patented Pickup Switch UpgradeTM products. Once you install this upgrade product and connect your pickups, a HUGE alternate tone dimension of 35 pickup tones will instantly open up to you.
This product gives you the control over your pickup coils that a 3-way switch doesn't provide. You can control each pickup individually or in combination. You can turn on just one coil for clean, crisp tones. You can put two or three pickups in either normal phase or reverse phase. And each of the pickups can be in a parallel circuit or a series circuit. This gives you incredible control over what your instrument sounds like. You can put your pickups in series and normal phase to get DuoBuckerTM and TroikaBuckerTM pickup tones that are impossible to get with your stock instrument. With the pickups in series and in reverse phase, you get unique tones for rhythm playing, funky leads, and incredible glass-shattering piercing tones that you never thought possible.
This upgrade lets you can control all three pickups (either separately, or combined) for:
- on or off connections
- normal-phase or reverse-phase connections
- series or parallel connections
No production guitar exists that will give you this incredible range of jaw-dropping pickup tones.
This upgrade is for instruments with three pickups, two volume controls and two tone controls.
After the upgrade, the 3-way switch on the upper horn will not be functional. You can either leave it intact so the guitar appears more "stock" or replace it with our long-life kill switch (see below).
Special Note: Our products do not support the following items:
- Piezoelectric pickups
- active (i.e., battery powered) pickups

This switching system cannot be used with active (battery-powered) pickups or pizeo pickups.
Active (i.e., battery-powered) pickups manufactured by Bartolini, EMG, Seymour Duncan, etc. will not work with our growing family of high performance patented Pickup Switch UpgradeTM products. These active pickups use a design that prevents any of the pickups from being put into series because it sends -9VDC back to the first pickup, shorting out the circuit. Although some manufacturers now sell "add on" products to give you some of the functionality that our products automatically provide, this design limits their versatility and increases the cost to the musician. Many people who have tried these products remove them because they are "too sterile sounding". Anything that uses batteries will likely go dead at a crucial time - like when you're performing or in the recording studio. Bill Lawrence was right when he said, "Batteries belong in flashlights."
